Greetings my friends,
The Autumnal Equinox is Friday, September 23rd, at 2:05 am PDT. On the same day we move into the sign of Libra, the symbol of the scales. The entire planet is in equal balance of day and night, of light and dark, of Yin and Yang. I think of this time as the still point, particularly as midnight approaches on the 22nd. The still point is that place where we can choose to be fully present and simply hold ourselves in readiness for transition. If you enjoy staying up late, you might want to meditate and sense the shift occurring two hours after midnight.
Just there is the period of time we call twilight each day; the moment when the sun moves below the horizon and the night has yet to descend, the twice yearly equinox still point has the same magical quality of suspended time. We can feel a shift if we choose to tune in. For me, these moments of transition are not about actively sending out intentions but more about taking the opportunity to quiet the mind and allow the senses to prevail. Both twilight and the equinox are magical portals that open so that we may receive insight, perhaps even a message through our felt sense. You may experience images or words that are a message from Source, however you name it: Higher Self, God/Goddess, Universe or Light. It may feel like a buoyant touch, a slight dizziness, an expansion of radiance within, even joy or pure bliss. Pay attention to what shows up in your awareness especially during the few hours afterwards.
As we move towards the last months before the year 2012, we are in a magnificent transition on a much larger scale; a shift from the completion of the known Mayan Calendar to whatever is to come next. Many predictions have foretold that the Divine Feminine is returning to share equal place with the Divine Masculine. Indeed there has been much evidence of the return of feminine values for the last 100 years. We are in the dawning of a new era and I believe it is enhanced by the balance between the two powerful forces of the Universe: the Masculine and Feminine. As our planet moves through the necessary changes that must come, seeking personal balance for your self will surely help.
So consider this Equinox an opportunity to open to you inner guidance and connect to your Source. I will be on the beautiful Island of Kauai during this time, practicing my path of conscious growth with a community of spiritual friends. I will be tuning into this shift, this transition point and will send you my love from this Heart Center of the planet, as the Hawaiian people call it.
